Washington has recently been planning sanctions against Iran to curve their nuclear ambitions. Many in the Bush administrations might believe that this is the right course of action, but economic sanctions only work on a closed political sphere. If the United States imposes sanctions against Iran, other countries would see a huge economic opportunity to trade with Iran. That means sanctions would lead to futile results and might even hurt the U.S. economy in the world market. Washington needs a solid plan to cohere Iran from pursuing nuclear ambitions.
