The police are still investigating the gunman’s identity, and no one knows what the motive was for the shooting. But as a nation we should give our support for those who are affected by the shooting and keep our thoughts and prayers to everyone in Virginia Tech that normalcy would come soon, and that their resilience to move on despite this terrible tragedy can overcome the fear and loss from this terrible event. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone in Virginia Tech.

I was at a language resource center when I read news articles about the Virginia Tech shooting incident. I immediately turned on CNN Pipeline, a live video service from CNN, to get up to the minute information regarding the shooting. My heart sank as the death toll continued to rise from 20 to 30 people. As I was sitting at another room from another college campus, I could not stop but wonder the chaos and fear that blanketed everyone in Virginia Tech. Parents of students might have been struck by fear as they frantically tried to reach their loved ones at school, making sure that they were ok.
